Page 77, item 2: handwritten account of the duel on Pennington Common in 1814. Souper named, but the other only as John D……….. Short note stuck to the bottom: The Adjutant’s name was John Detterick [actually Dieterich] a post mortem was made by Dr John Nike who found the lead bull (bullet) proving the cause of death. Initialled JCNK [John Charles Nike King].
