Lists are like “gold dust” for local history researchers. Lists help you to match up people to other people and to places. Lists come in many forms from Censuses to Tax Payers, from Tithes Payments to Poor Relief, from Vestry Attendance to Wartime Subscriptions.

Local History lives! provides online access to a wide range of historical lists. You can review the lists by exploring the explanation of sources webpage. All dates assume that the calendar year starts on 1^st January.
