Occasional Magazine Vol.1 No.6 (May 1913) Birds, Butterflies and Moths of Milford
Butterflies and Moths of Milford by Rev. A. R. D. Patterson. Milford and its neighbourhood have a great variety of scenery conducive to insect life so that the entomologist’s study is well rewarded at all seasons of the year. The author begins with a general survey of the particular places round about where the different species can be found in abundance and captured by collectors. This is followed by “Lists of Butterflies and Moths found in Milford and Neighbourhood from 1896 to 1909” totalling 49 species and citing common and scientific names.
Note: This edition was withdrawn & recalled as it was found that there were errors in the Butterflies & Moths article. The magazine was re-issued in August 1913 without that article.
