An Historic Painting at All Saints Church by Barry Jolly and Ian Stevenson
A painting of the conversion of Cynegils, the first Christian King of Wessex hangs in All Saints Church. It was created by J Eadie Reid in 1915. The vicar, Rev Mark Collet, and parishioners were used as models. The article explores the friendship between Reid and Collet as well as the significance of the painting itself.
