The Dane Stream & Avon Water by A. W. W. Brown. After considering the head waters of the Dane Stream and the Avon Water a commentary in note form follows, which must be read in conjunction with a large-scale map. The author walks the length of the 7-mile Dane Stream from sea to source, describing flora and fauna encountered and historical changes in the landscape. He speculates and raises queries from what he has recorded.
